Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research: Charity of the Year 2010

Running Imp is proud to announce that its ‘Charity of the Year’ for this year is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Throughout 2010, Running Imp will donate 1p from every single stock medal sold and 5p from presentation medals to support Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

The charity is the only one of its kind in the UK, dedicated exclusively to researching blood cancers and disorders including leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and other lymphomas, and myeloma.

Anyone, at any age can be diagnosed with a blood cancer and it is estimated that 24,500 people in the UK are diagnosed every year.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Research receives no Government grants and the life-saving research they carry out depends entirely on voluntary donations. “Here at Running Imp we are delighted to be able to contribute towards such a deserving cause”, commented Managing Director Chris Illsley.

In 2009 Running Imps' Charity of the Year was the Panathlon Foundation. In December last year Running Imp directors Chris Illsley, Caroline Birkin and Faye Yarwood were able to present the charity with a cheque for £6,000.
