Formula One Star Impresses at 2010 London Triathlon

Jenson Button produced an impresssive performance to secure a top ten finish in his outing in the London Triathlon this weekend.

Taking part for the second year running, the reigning Formula One World Drivers Champion was competing to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

He completed the event in a time of 2hrs 14mins 14secs.

That was despite the Maclaren driver suffering from tonsillitis in the run up to the event, which comprised of a 1500m swim followed by a 40km bike ride and a 10km run.

The annual event, which is the largest triathlon in the world, regularly attracts over 11,000 entrants who compete around London's famous landmarks including the Palace of Westminster, Tower Bridge and the London Eye.

Following his appearance at the triathlon, Button has been able to raise more than £18,000 through his JustGiving page for the Make-A-Wish Foundation - which makes dreams a reality for children battling against life threatening illnesses.

Running Imp's sister company and specialist personalised medals producer bespokemedals.com was proud to have designed and produced the finishers medals for the event.

This year's medal design can be seen in the picture here with the triumphant Formula One star himself.
